What training here feels like.

“I never feel like I have to choose between training and recovering. Sessions are always adapted around injuries, and knowing Mike has great relationships with the physios gives me confidence I'm in good hands.”

Lisa4-year member

“The coaching is great, but the community is even better. Everyone is welcomed, supported and encouraged. It's one of the few places where you genuinely feel like you belong from day one.”

Scott

“I've become stronger than I ever thought possible. The programming is smart, the coaching is personal, and I'm constantly surprising myself with what I can do.”

Rhys

“I'm fitter and stronger, but the biggest change has been my confidence. Training at Solace has had a positive impact well beyond the gym floor.”

Meet the family

The family behind Solace

We’re Michael and Amelia, Eltham locals and the family behind Solace Fitness. We want you to feel welcome, supported and comfortable being yourself.

Michael

Michael has worked in fitness since 2003, with experience coaching elite athletes including the Melbourne Vixens and Australian Opals, and working in rehabilitation with the Footscray Bulldogs VFL. Mentoring from Victorian Institute of Sport coaches helped shape his approach. Today, he brings that experience to everyday people at Solace.

Amelia

Amelia is an APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist with a Master’s in Sports Physiotherapy. She has worked with the Australian swimming and triathlon teams and has a special interest in shoulder rehabilitation. A keen runner and mum of two, she co-owns Solace with Michael.

Rounding out the family: Harry loves monster trucks, Thomas loves dinosaurs, and Kobi, our gym dog, loves treats and a tennis ball.
